The mission of SBIFF is to advance the arts and promote cultural exchange by showcasing independent films, supporting emerging and underrepresented filmmakers, and fostering public appreciation for global storytelling with impact. Through screenings, educational programs, artist development initiatives, and community events, SBIFF will create opportunities for audiences in Seoul, Boston, and around the world to engage with diverse cinematic voices, deepen cross‑cultural understanding, and participate in creative dialogue.

SBIFF expands access to industry knowledge by offering training and resources that help filmmakers learn how to distribute their work globally.
